GIFT will resume for the Summer Term on Tuesday 9th April at 7pm in Ettington Church and we hope to see you all again then. There will be a blog on the Cadbury World trip after Easter, along with the rest of the Summer Term dates. In the meantime, the GIFT leaders would like to wish all GIFT-ers and their families a lovely Easter. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” [John 3:16]
Jane, Mark & The Steves
Do come and join us!
Come and be part of the dramatic story of Jesus’ last week…..
Quiet reflective services of healing on Monday and Wednesday;
Our deanery Eucharist on Tuesday with Bishop John;
A “bring and share” last supper on Thursday, followed by the watch of the passion;
A children’s workshop on Friday morning, to make hot cross buns;
A Good Friday service on Friday afternoon;
“Easter fire!” -an Easter eve experience for families (come wrapped up warm!) on Saturday
And then Easter services in all our Churches on Easter morning.
See our device rota for times and venues….and come and join in!
Yesterday we heard how people’s passions take over their lives.
Terry spoke to us about his passion for bees, and how it has changed his view of the world – he sees things differently!
Then James spoke of his passion for photography and how it has taken him all over the world…it is so important to him, it can get him out of bed at dawn…a powerful passion, then!
Christ’s passion for us is so strong that it didn’t just affect his life, it took it completely. He considered us worth it!
Are we really passionate about God?
Does he change our lives?
Do we see the world differently because of our passion for him?
Are we prepared to put ourselves out – do we consider him worth it?
