It was so good to see, in so many communities, so many different groups of people joining in and having fun – our whole country came alive and communities came together. How great it all was!
The great thing was that everyone could join in –and we all just had fun!
So many of the things we do for fun cost money, don’t they? And even a visit to the pictures is a considerable cost for a family. Making ends meet is hard at the moment, and it’s often the fun things that disappear from the budget first.
I recently attended the CAP course; it’s a course for absolutely anyone who would like to take more control of their finances – those who owe money, but also those who don’t. I learned so much – simple strategies to stop finances getting out of control and to make me feel I had at least some choices.
I do recommend the course to everyone – it is run by a church organisation, but it is NOT in any way religious, all we seek is to make people’s lives easier and to reduce financial hardship. For those with debt problems, there is a whole raft of help available through CAP (Christians against poverty) so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with one of our team listed below.
In the meantime, don’t forget where the real fun is to be found…. In getting together!
We have fabulous communities let’s make sure we’re all part of them…I know that’s where God is usually found – among people gathered together!
With my love
